American Reunion

For my last week I watched American Reunion. This movie is part of the American Pie series. All of the original people are in this movie, and they get together for their 13th high school class reunion. The main characters are Jim (Jason Biggs), Oz (Chris Klein). Kevin (Thomas Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Thomas), and Stifler (Seann Scott). All of them have gone on with their lives, some have gotten married, and some have good jobs now. They all agree to meet up before the reunion to have fun like they did in high school.

I thought this movie was really funny. It wasn't as good as some of the other American Pies, but it was very good. If you like comedy then you will probably like this movie.

The Hunger Games

This week I watched the movie The Hunger Games. This movie is based on a novel The Hunger Games. Each year they take a boy and a girl from each of the twelve districts. The teens get cleaned up and they have to train for a couple of days. They have to impress people that are investors that help them throughout the game if they need it. In the game they have to fight each other and battle the elements too. The main girl is from district twelve and her name was Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) her family is very poor. Her father died in a mining accident. The boy is from district twelve and his name is Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) he works with his family at the bakery. His family is one of the wealthiest in district twelve.


I liked this movie, there was a lot of action in it and was kind of a drama. I think that people should see it. I didn't read the book, but I was told it follows the book pretty well.

21 Jump Street

This week I watched the movie 21 Jump Street. This movie is about two guys Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) who were class mate back in high school. They meet back up and they help each other get through the police academy. They both are screw up cops, that catch a drug dealer but forgot to read him his  Miranda rights. They both get into trouble over the deal and get sent down to the specialty unit on 21 Jump Street. They are both suppose to act like teenagers in high school to figure out who is making this new drug and make sure that it doesn't spread.

I liked this movie because it was funny but also had action in it. Some of the things they did were funny, but also did some stupid things. There wasn't a whole lot of action, but there were some intense points. It is a good movie and I would say watch it.

Silent House

This week I watched Silent House. Its about a girl named Sarah (Elizabeth Olsen) that is going out to her families lake house to fix up, because people destroyed it. She is there with her dad (Adam Trese) and uncle (Eric Stevens). She heard a knocking at the front door, and she saw someone there that said she was her childhood friend Sophia, but Sarah has no recollection of there friendship. Sophia said she would come back over later with some pictures of the two as children. Than some weird things started happening, and she thought someone was in the house trying to kill her and her dad.

This movie was good, but also very weird. It was hard to follow sometimes and really made you think. It wasn't as good as it could have been, and I probably wont ever watch it again. If you want to challenge your brain, watch it. If you want to watch a good movie, I suggest something besides this movie.

Act of Valor

This week I watched the movie Act of Valor. There are no actors in this movie, they are all real active navy SEALs, but the story line is not based off of true events. This movie is about a navy SEAL unit that is on a mission to get back a CIA agent, and stopping a terrorist from blowing up numerous places around the United States. It shows how a group of SEALs work, and survive together.  The two main guys in the movie are Lieutenant Rorke and Chief Dave, although these are not their real names. It shows how units watch each others back and are there for one another no matter what.

I really like this movie because of how it reveals what these people go through, and how they have to sacrifice their time and lives to keep us safe. If you watch this movie you might respect our soldiers more for what they do. Yes, I know this movie isn't based on a true story, but soldiers have gone through things like this. So I do say go see this movie.

Project X

This week I watched the movie Project X. This movie is about these three guys who throw a party. Thomas (Thomas Mann), who is the main character, is turning seventeen. His parents are going out of town so him and his two best friends Costa(Oliver Cooper) and J.B. (Jonathan Daniel Brown) throw a birthday party at Thomas's house. The party was supposed to be small, but it ends up being a huge out of control party. By the end of the night, they end up destroying his house and also the neighborhood.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was pretty funny. Most of the storyline was believable, although there were a few things that were an exaggeration of what would really happen. Overall I really liked this movie and would watch it again. If you like a funny movie then I recommend this movie. I think we need to throw a party like this.

This Means War

This week I watched This Means War. There are two guys that work for the CIA, FDR Foster (Chris Pine), and Tuck Henson (Tom Hardy). They are best friends who do everything together. Tuck is looking for a girlfriend because his ex-wife is starting to date again. He meets this girl, Lauren Scott (Reese Witherspoon) online, and goes on a date with her. His best friend FDR wanted to be close by just in case Tuck needed help so he was at a movie storedown the road. After the date Lauren shows up at the movie store and FDR likes her, but he doesn't realize it's the girl that Tuck likes. They both like the same girl and are trying to be the one that Lauren wants to date. This movie is an Action & Adventure, Romance, and Comedy.

I like this movie because it’s funny and has some action in it. Yes it a romance but it’s still a good movie and it’s not a sappy love story. I think that it is more funny than dumb like most romantic movies are. It actually made me laugh and I would recommend it to anyone who has a sense of humor.

Safe House

This week I watched Safe House. Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) is a safe house keeper for the CIA, his safe house is located in Cape Town. The CIA brings a man into his safe house named Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) to gather information about stolen documents. The safe house was compromised, forcing Weston to take Frost out of the safe house, and move him to a new location. It is a struggle to reach the new location because Weston is unsure about who he can trust.

I thought it was a phenomenal movie. There was a lot of action and suspense throughout the whole movie. It wasn't a predictable movie, and kept you thinking throughout. They had great actors for this movie and they all played their parts very well.

The Grey

This week I watched the movie The Grey. John Ottway  (Liam Neeson) leads an unruly group of oil-rig roughnecks when their plane crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. On his last day of the job, Ottway writes a letter to his dead wife Ana (Anne Openshaw) and plans to commit suicide. When the plane had crashed there severe injuries, in the middle of a blinding blizzard, and trying to defend themselves from a pack of ruthless wolves. The survivors are mainly trying to escape the ruthless pack of wolves and trying to survive the severe cool weather.


 The Grey was overall a great movie. There was a lot of suspense throughout the whole movie, and a little action here and there. The movie was pretty predictable, but the ending wasn't what I expected. The only thing that I didn't like about the movie was that the wolves looked really fake. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a little suspense.

Man on the Ledge

This week I watched the movie Man on the Ledge. An ex-cop, and now wanted fugitive (Sam Worthington) stands on the ledge of the Roosevelt Hotel building, while a  New York Police Department negotiator (Elizabeth Banks) tries to talk him out of jumping. The longer they are on the ledge, the more she realizes that he might have an ulterior objective. He is doing all this, while he is having someone in the building acrossed the street take something that he was convicted of taking in the first place. The movie was mystery, suspense, and drama.

I liked this because there was a lot of suspense and there was some action. It wasn't like how I thought it was going to be. I figured that it wasn't going to be that great of a movie but it turned out to be a really good movie.

This week, I watched the movie Underworld Awakening. It was a good movie, this movie had to deal with vampires and werewolves fighting to become the ruler of the world, knock the others into their control, and make the others there slaves. The main vampire warrioress Selene is played by Kate Beckinsale. She escapes imprisonment, where hunmans are conducting an all-out war to get rid of both immortal species. Selene finds a girl ( India Eisley) that is being hunted by the lycans who are trying to become greater and better than anything out there.
I had liked the other movies that were before this one, and I wanted to see if this one was going to be as good. I think that this one is better than the other movies. Because there is more on the line so that means there is going to be more action and more intense moments.

Movie

I watched Mission: Impossible 4 - Ghost Protocol  this week and I’d have to say that it’s a good movie. The plot of the movie was good it wasn’t cheesy, and there wasn’t bad acting in the movie. I think that Tom Cruz did a great job acting in the movie.  The quality of the movie was good, it didn’t look like it was someone’s first time filming, and that is a good thing. The movie was an action packed and the point of the movie was to save family and protect what’s close to you. The genera was mystery, suspense, action, and adventure.

I will be talking about a movie that is in the theaters. It might be newly released or a movie that came out last week. I’ll tell you if the movie is a good and worth your time and money or if the movie had just sucked and not worth your time and money. I’ll be telling you if the quailty of the movie was good or if it wasn’t good at all. I’ll be telling you the type of movie, it will be saying if the movie was action, funny, drama, and scary. I’ll be telling you if it ways more for the girls like the darma/ love movies and if the girls will like it. I’ll be telling you if it was more for the guys if it was action packed and the stuff the guys like it.
